Translating a module breaks template

Hi,

I have a gkMyStore based website and have just discovered that translating the title of the mod_vm_accordion menu BREAKS THE SITE. Here's the error message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function setLevel() on a non-object in /homepages/29/d278667776/htdocs/hp2011/modules/mod_vm_accordion/vm/vmBuildTree.class.php on line 109

Does anybody know this is why??
