modules placed in new module positions not showing

Hi,

I am having a very strange problem with the module positions.

I have added the news show module to the following positions: top1, top6, top7, top8, top10, top11, top13, top14, top16, top17

After making some changes to the menus (deleting all the menu items I didn't need and esssentially only keeping mainmenu and usermenu) I can now longer see any new modules that I add.

I've tried to add 4 more news show modules to positions bottom1, bottom2, bottom5, bottom6. However they simply do not show up on the main page (my only page other than articles). I have made sure to enable the modules and I have made sure to assign the modules to ALL menu selections. They don't show up unfortunately.

However if I select any of the module positions I have already used, they do show up. (top1, top6, top7, top8, top10, top11, top13, top14, top16, top17).

I feel like I messed something up with the menus, but im not sure what.

Please advise.

This problem appears to only happen on the frontpage.

The modules show up on all the article pages.

I've found the place where the bottom is created and had narrowed the but to one fnction, but I would need to try it on Your site to see which data is causing this behaviour.
