Google Analytics in PostNote

Can someone advise the best method to add Google Analytics code in PostNote template please? Needs to go prior to the closing </head> tag but I can not see the head tags in the layout....

closing </head> tag is placed in every template skeleton placed in layouts/ directory (default.php, iphone.php etc.)

One suggestion:
Why don't you try Google Analytics plugin available on joomla extensions. You can find there several 3th party plugins that make the job pretty well without changing files.
