Layout help please =

Hi,

I'm fairly new to Joomla, I have purchased a subscription to EA Improved component, plus the Postnotes template from GavickPro...


I would like some pointers to any tutorials, documentation or assistance with creating a customised homepage layout to display ea's property search on the left, display a featured property in the middle, plus display a short list of properties plus a company intro below on the home page.

I have spent so much time browsing through the forum for help and tutorials, is there something I'm missing?

CSS layout and styling is not a problem for me, but I cannot figure out how to add and organise the content =(
