Hi

On this template the only effective way is to populate mainbody position with some module. This way the component will be invisible, but please enable only this module on frontpage or else it might gives you problems while seeing content with component.

Disable mainbody/component on frontpage on postnote template is not the best solution for your needs.
The reason comes from template style structure.

Cheers ;)

could you be a bit more specific about the populating the mainbody position to make it invisible?

If you publish a module on mainbody position (check module positions assignment and you will find it), the component will be invisible, because it's overcome by mainbody module position.

Understand the difference between mainbody/component and mainbody module position.
Completely different elements.

Try it. ;)
