disable k2 login module

Hi all,
Please help me with the following issue. I'm trying to use the joomla profile plugin function but k2 keeps on overriding my setting. how can I disable the k2 login module without uninstalling K2 completely?
I've already disabled it in the modules and disabled the k2 - user plugin.

any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

please go to Components->K2. Here in right top you will find Parameters icon. Click it. You will see a popup. Here go to 'Advanced' tab. find 'Enable K2 User Profile' and set it to No. It should help.
