GavernWP provides built-in support for the Open Graph protocol, which allows posts to have metatags specified and, when publishing a particular post to Facebook, information previously specified by the author will be displayed:
- Title
- Type
- Image (thumbnail) associated with an entry
- Entry description
- Other
The above allows an author of a post to prepare information for display on social media services. When Open Graph fields are not completed, the GavernWP framework will automatically attempt to fill them in based upon the initial information.

Support for Open Graph is a great supplement for a Social API system implemented based upon GavernWP.
