The News Show Pro module establishes a Web page’s structure and content layout. It’s extended properties may be used to create a simple image gallery based upon article images.
News Show Pro GK4 supports the following extensions:
- K2 – it is fully compatible regarding the presentation of articles and allows articles to be chosen based upon tags assigned to them (unlike the standard com_content component).
- VirtueMart – full compatibility; products are presented instead of articles, and the “Add to cart” button and the product’s price can be presented.
- K2Store – with this component products’ prices can be displayed and an “Add to cart” button in the case of K2 articles associated with this component.
- JComments – used to display the number of comments for the current article.

Full functionality requires that the GD library be installed (to support thumbnails) and appropriate permissions be applied to its cache catalog.
