I enabled the cookie law plugin in the template settings, but it isn't showing on the frontend.

Am I missing something?

The URL of the website is https://nieuwleusen.com

Hi

Yes, I'm afraid plugin we have been using has been removed from web. Please disable it and use one of the other solutions which are still available. https://extensions.joomla.org/category/ ... e-control/

Hi, running into same issue.
It turns out that silktide (provider of template build in cookie solution) has moved on.
In my opinion: So should Gavick.
When customers buy a template with these features build in, they should at least a: work, or b: not be present / removed.

Stating that one should download a plugin is not a good reflection of the perceived quality of Gavick products :S

Is your template framework still actively supported and under development?
If not, please let me know so I can switch template provider for my customers :(

The current situation makes my customers run into the issue of possibly getting a lawsuit as the functionality stopped working without anybody noticing it. This is not okay!

Hi

We are having difficulties right now I admit. Please read statement from our boss: https://www.gavick.com/forums/general-d ... es#p251176

I've reported CC plugin to be replaced in packages. Till it will be updated I'll advice a replacement to a 3rd party plugin proposed on joomla extensions page.

Hi

I just got a message that last update includes a new CC plugin. Last update wave only included last 12 templates, but rest will be covered soon.

Cool,
first templates updated: works like a charm!
Waiting for some more templates (like Creativity) being updated.
Can you ping us here when remaining templates are updated?

Thanks in advance for your continued support!
regards,
Ruud.

Hi

I can see there were an update on 4th May https://www.gavick.com/updates?task=group&id=4 I have not contacted programmers about it, but I assume the the CC Plugin script should be replaced in all templates mentioned there.

Thanks!
'Issue' is that updates are not all the same. for Technews the 4-5 update does have the cc change, the creativity 4-5 update doesn't have the cc fix, but only a template settings fix :(

I do not know why not or if that change will still follow for Creativity...

Hi

Och yes, I forgot Creativity is too old to get the CC plugin update, sorry. I'm afraid that a workaround to install a different CC plugin will still need to be done with this template.

It's not to old for me :)
I can do the changes myself as I am still actively using this template on multiple sites.

Just as an idea: why not add the 'old' / unsupported templates to github (like meetgavern is also on github). That way the community can fix and maintain themselves?

I'm afraid I'm not the one to decide that. I'm just a moderator on this forum, sorry.

Good news... Silktide decided to make their script available again. So starting today the 'old' CookieConsent is working again (also on unchanged templates).

I have immediately downloaded the silktide scripts now they are available again, In case they are pulled off-line again I can install them locally and only need to change the link to the script in the template: no more dependencies on remote script :)

Hi

I think the url in templates has been updated to the new script already, so You may also try update template to the latest version.

not all templates received that update (e.g. Creativity) :)
So for all not updated (old) templates it is working again.

Hi

Yes, we only update last 12 templates, so I'm happy they decided to provide the plugin under same url.
