The next step in making our themes the best on the net

You may have already read of our recent changes to our WordPress services, where we have abandoned the Gavern Framework and dedicated resources to improving our documentation. This represents one area that we have committed to improve, but we also want to introduce improvements to our themes in a different way.

The next step in making our themes the best on the net

Why make a change?

When GavickPro first started in the template business, our focus was on developing a theme that was modern, functional and open to expansion, so users could develop their site the way they wanted. The market has changed now, with many more less-experienced users trying their hand at Joomla and WordPress and many more theme developers vying for attention.

We want our themes to continue to innovate and stand out, yet we also want to ensure that any of our valued customers that downloads one of our themes will have as user-friendly and complete a website as possible, whether they are experts or beginners. For many theme developers, their solution to this change in the market was to introduce theme and page builders that put the control in the hands of the user, but often such things are unwieldy and not much use to beginner users who aren’t professional designers, and get in the way of more advanced users who prefer to make changes directly in the plugin options or theme CSS code.

More features, more content; user-friendly design

Instead, since the competitive market means that each theme must be as close to perfect as humanly possible, we would like to spend more time focusing on each theme’s development. This additional time will give us the freedom to make it more user-friendly, implement more complex and useful features, and test it thoroughly to make sure it functions as expected.

We will also be able to develop additional pages and elements so that each theme will provide a full website experience even before user-specific content is added. Our recent Events template is the model for our future releases; it included Event, Speakers and Sponsor pages, Agendas, frontpage schedule highlights and more along with Eventbrite integration, so any user downloading the quickstart would have all they need to craft a successful conference, event or festival website, without relying on third-party extensions for their meaningful features and content.

With each theme release receiving more time and attention, our themes can become even more attractive, functional and efficient; far beyond what our competitors have available. In turn, these change will help our customers be certain that a GavickPro theme will help them get a full website up and running in moments without any customization required if you’re a beginner, whilst still leaving the essential components there for more advanced users to get in and change the theme to their liking should they so desire.

It’s a very exciting time for theme development, and we look forward to delivering more incredible site experiences for your site’s visitors as we implement the additional development time needed for our themes to become the best the market has to offer.
