Change background colour from white to..

I readed similar posts for changing color of background, but none of the tips not working. I try to use override.css but I think it/s not working. Where I need to change color number for background (not for modules, but for the core for website)?

Could You please post an url to your site?
Have You enabled override.css in template settings?
