How to add an Event Calendar function to this template?

Hi,
I'd like to add a page, where a calendar would show the upcoming events preferably from a database. I've seen something like this in the restaurant template, but I'm not sure how to include it into this template?
Please let me know, if there's a soulution for this feature!
