How to upgrade - what is the latest version

On the "Updates" in the parameter of the template, I see the latest version 2.8 dated 2.April 2012.
The link to the right of this is not working. Neither none of the updates what ever I click on none templates.

Is this correct.

How do I get to the latest template?
Where do I find which version I have today?
How do I upgrade the template?

Hi,

This topic is created under The World News II template Joomla 1.5 version so I assume that you are trying to get latest version of the template for you Joomla 1.5, and it is here https://www.gavick.com/download/joomla- ... news2.html

Our download links are always for latest versions. And the latest version of the template is 1.0.4J, release date 13/01/2012, details at https://www.gavick.com/updates/template ... 2,594.html

So I feel something wrong here.

In case you have posted in wrong forum and your Joomla version is 2.5, then I have a good news for you that we have just released a new version just today, the version number is 2.9, check https://www.gavick.com/updates/template ... 2,736.html

Before upgrading template, make sure you backup it first, then make sure all customizations are logged, or if you have customized only css code then make sure all the changes are in override.css. After that just go to extension manager and install it normally or you can upload files directly to server to override old ones as well.

The file I download for 1.5 is from 2011 and I hope I can get the latest 1.5 version very soon

Hi Jan,

The development team has been busy with maintaining products for Joomla 2.5 and it seems that they haven't paid attention to Joomla 1.5 anymore that's why it's been a long time there are no new versions for the templates. It's hard for us because we haven't got much resource to do all the things so maintaining for latest Joomla version's products is always in highest priority. Therefore I think you should consider to upgrade your site tho I have to sorry for that inconvenience with our service.
