JS Compression kills opening images in modal

Hello:
I recently upgraded to the latest version of twnii template and if I turn on js compression the main k2 image doesn't open in pop up. Instead image opens in full browser page.

What js should I exclude in order to keep modal working after compression?

I tried these two without success

media/system/js/modal.js
com_k2/js/k2.js

I've checked this issue on clean installation and modal is working on K2 - please check >> https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6620832/modal.png

and the bottom you can see firebug console with scripts tab where you can see that they are compressed.
