FireBug is a great tool to use for making those kinds of changes. It's a firefox extension.

menso,

edit your style sheets for style1 and style2. Around line 14 you will see the following: Aslo I have found (at least for me) that I have needed to set the permissions to 644 on the style sheets in order for my changes to take effect. Can anyone elaborate on why a style sheet would need to remain at 444?

body {
color: #999;
}

change the color to what you want. So for black change it to:

body {
color: #000;
}

BTW, does anyone know what the style3 CSS is for? Since there is only two styles available for the template.

Hi,
How do you change the background to the orange & blue like in the mod? I would like to change it on my site but to a darker coloured design (such as in your new ICKI Sports template) as i am using the _dark module class so would like my text to stand out more on the white article pages.

example (image below): http://esellart.com.au/index.php?option ... &Itemid=26

Would i need this mod or just to point some backgound code to an image in one of the css files?

Thanks,

Adam

Look in the templates image folder, the images in there can be edited in a graphics program. For anything else use the templates CSS to make the color changes you need. Also you may need to edit some module tmpl images to suite your design needs.

In regard to changing the colors from the template, they can be found in the templates params. Just go to where you change templates, then click on the template name. You should see several things you can change there. Such as the templates colors.

Thanks for the info earthrat. I tried a few different backgrounds with different gradients etc but did not like the results.

I went for changing the text colour from grey to black instead ...... i should have taken the easy option first!

Best of luck to you, your site looks clean. Does it take a special printer to print on canvas?

Thanks, designing the website is something new to me so a bit of a learning curve so thanks for the help. :)

The printer is similar to a normal inkjet but with 8 x 200ml colour cartridges and is about the same size as a sofa! The canvas is also a bit different than the stuff from your local art shop!
