Pulse QuickStart Video Tutorial with Xampp Install

Hello everyone

We made this video tutorial that will explain how to install a local server and Pulse Template Oct'09 Quickstart version.
As this is the most common form of installation of quickstart package, it will suitable as example for others. Also, we took the opportunity to explain how to install XAMPP local server on your computer and take advantage of this tool.

ok, doesnt work here. Im in China though so there might be as issue with the communication to your server.

Try with a different browser.

Hi, I got the video tutorial working, but i get some problems with the configuration.php. First, in the joomla installation, its not writable. And if i continue with the installation, i get the message: No configuration file found, exiting...

Do you have any advice on what i should do here?

Try to set upper folder permissions to 755 and try again.

Or simply rename configuration.php-dist to configuration.php and set the database manualy.

this doesn't work with gk_mystore_quickstart

The only diffrence between Pulse and MyStore instrction is that MyStore needs a change at Virtuemart configuration file to point to same place as the site is.
