K2 menu item NOT working in HOME

Joomla rel. 2.5.22
K2 rel. 2.5.8
I would public K2 categories latest items in home page, so i selected it in menu item type of some pages.
In main menu:
"menu item type" = K2 latest items of categories
if the page is normal page it works fine;
but if the page is default then it does not work
could you help me, please?
