I have added a menu item (vm frontpage) and I have added a page suffix and a browser header.

But when I navigate to view the shop categories and products the page suffix is gone.

Why?

Sorry but I'm not pretty sure what you mean. If you have added (in template settings) page suffix for homepage it will not be available on other pages.

I have added a menu item of type Virtuemart > Front Page
It is not the website's frontpage.
But when I navigate to the categories and to the products the suffix is gone but at the menu I see that the specific menu item is selected.

I'm having an issue understanding your configuration there... I don't see any page suffixes saved in any of those templates (you have 2 for multi-language purpose as I understand).

But to make it work you need to use page suffixes in template settings, not in menu itself:
https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... omla-pages

I guess you could also create a hidden menu, post your vm categories there and use their ID's to prefix those pages.

Or maybe even you could do the change for all the pages (vm category pages)? Then some override.css changes could be made and they would work for every page with similar content.
