Header Options

1. I'd like to know if it's possible to create a slider of images within the Header of the frontpage for the John S Theme. I like the big image that the header in the demo displays, but would love for it to change between three images in that area.

2. I also wanted to know if it's possible to create a section of the frontpage that has the clickable buttons and feature popups that the Intelligent Shoe section of the Quark Ecommerce site has. I like that functionality but want to use it somewhere on the frontpage of the John S theme. Is it possible with custom CSS or HTML?
