I coudnt update Joomla to 3.4.8 version...any advise?

Hi!
Try to download the service pack Joomla_3.4.8-Stable-Update_Package to the server in a site folder: / tmp, extract the archive. Then, in the extension manager, select "Install from a directory." I have worked!

Additionally You may check permissions on /tmp folder since on some servers scripts may not have permissions to create/modify files.
