Add Slider on top?

Hey guys, my designer really wants to put a slider at the top of the page. I'm trying to implement a slider as a widget but when I do it kills the menu. If I edit one of the pre-defined !headerX widget elements I can get it to keep the menu by removing the code below, but i'm thinking I'll need to embed the slider into the gk-header code.

Surely I've overcomplicated this.

Any suggestions on how I might reach my goals here? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Did you try to add your widget into Header widget area? (before the header widget), then you can change postition of #gk-top block from absolute to relative, or you can create another widget area:

Maybe try to add this widget and provide an URL to your website (here or via PM), then I'll be able to give you more advice.
