Hi,

We have a site that is using the most recent version of NSP GK5, J3.5.1 and PHP 5.6.
The date source is using an RSS feed and seemed to work fine during the development. However, it appears that the feed is not updating. I have clear all cache spots but still experience the same issue.

Here is a link to the site: http://www.thearmadagroup.com/ and to the feed: http://talent.thearmadagroup.com/talent/feed/

The other strange thing is that the module was set up with out the trailing "/" (eg. http://talent.thearmadagroup.com/talent/feed). However, when I update with the "/" the error "no articles to display" appears.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Credentials sent.

After more investigation here is what I found out.

The RSS feed will update on a localhost but not on the server.

All folders and files are set to Joomla defaults. We are running php 5.6

Any suggestions are very appreciated!

More discoveries...

There are no RSS module specific files being created in the main /cache/mod_news_pro_gk5 directory on the live server like there are on my local host (eg. /cache/mod_news_pro_gk5/97e98d08c54cd1b1de6644c309e1670e-cache-mod_news_pro_gk5-feaa879ac8cb76a9dee174fac889cd0f.php)

There are cache files for other News Show Pro GK5 modules using k2 content but not for the RSS.

Hi

The access You've send me is not working.

"Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet."

but, please check if Your cache folder in NSP module is set to 755 and also if Your server allows scripts to create files.

Hi,

Reporting back on this issue.

The problem was solved by adding in a custom DNS A record for the IP of the RSS feed. The RSS feed was being pulled from a subdomain of the primary domain that lived on a different server/ IP address. Apparently the RSS feed was looking to pull the data from the primary server and couldn't find it. Once the new DNS record was added the feed started updating as expected.

Hope this helps someone else!

Hi!
Pozdrawiam, Joachim

Hi!
Problem rozwiązany :)
Za blokowanie wyświetlania odpowiada Admin Tools: Zapora aplikacji sieciowych -> Konfiguracja zapory -> Aktywny filtr żądań -> Blokuj złośliwe agenty użytkownika (przeglądarki, osłona MUA - Malicious User Agent) -> Nie
Pozdrawiam, Joachim

Hi

Dokladnie. Admin Tools blokuje polaczenia AJAX do "obcych" witryn. Wiekszosc dzisiejszych stron wymaga wylaczenia tej opcji w ustawieniach tego komponentu.
