Contact page not sending email

After entering email address and message, the contact page tells me that the message was sent successfully, but no email ever arrives to my inbox (nor my junk mail folder etc). If I choose to send a copy to myself, that address doesn't receive an email either.

How can I troubleshoot this? Thanks for suggestions.

Maybe your server doesn't support default mail() function which is used for sending messages. Could you send me a private message with FTP access to your website? Then I'll be able to check the issue.
