Hi

If You've put it into /layout/blocks/head.php than it's a correct place, but I believe it can be copied to wrong place. Please try close php coding by putting this in a very last line of this file "?>" than copy Your code after that.

It was a problem with the end of php tag. The info was correct. My fault.
