Currency selector

I have the gavick currency selector in my storebox store. It shows all the selected currencies with my default currency as the one displayed. I find that when I change the currency the displayed currency does not show and when I refresh the page it goes back to the default currency.

A bit more information: I have GB pound as default and US, Canadian and Euro as other accepted currencies (in store/vendor). I am using the gavick Store Currency module in sidebar position but notice that the VM currency module is also active on position 4.
