Issue with Hikashop Category Listing and Product Display

Hi,

I've been dealing with Hikashop directly with this issue and they have said it must be a template issue. I have updated Hikashop and Joomla and have installed the StoreFront template separately (not the quick start package).

In fact, on both the quick start package and the seperate template installation. I encountered the same issue.

Issue:
When creating products in a catagory (3 levels in) and using the menu option in joomla (Hikashop catagory listing), the catagories display perfectly fine but when you try to get to the last category that holds the products, nothing displays.

Hikashop believe there might be some sort of template override.

Is this something that you can help with?

Update: I've installed another template from another supplier and it works fine. when I use the Storefront template, the product WILL NOT display. Please let me know ASAP what to do? I have bought this template on the premise that it works!!! I'm now running behind with the project....please help

Hi

Please tell me the url to the page You have a problem with.

All the overrides for hikashop are in /html/com_hikashop folder. Try rename this folder to _com_hikashop so original component files will be used. This way You will know if it's comming from override. If yes than send me an access to ftp so I'll fix it.

I'm having this same issue, renaming the folder like you mentioned solves the problem. What can I do? Thanks!

Hi

If it looks ok than just leave it like that, but if styling broke after renaming send me an access to ftp and an url to the page I will be able to see an example of that.

Renaming doesn't help. And the whole layout gets screwed.

I have renamed /html/com_hikashop/category/listing.php to /html/com_hikashop/category/_listing.php and products are visible now.

I have the same problem but renaming files doesn't help in my case.

The categories module in the center is working properly.

The categories menu doesn't lead to products.
Use VFD category to test as it has products.

Hi

I've just found Your access and was able to test it. I've disabled our template, but nothing is shown in this category as well. So if there are actually products there not blocked from public or restricted by any other way than Your problem is not connected with template. You need to contact Hikashop support in this case.
