Hi there,
Working with events i see something I wan't able to guess, so just have to ask ya'll:
Talking about this event, for instance:
Code is:
By code event is suposed to happen in 2016,
But the caption on it is for 2014. In calendar it is show by the date of news created, not even published, nor when it is actually to happen (in 2016), could you, please explain how the whole thing works?
<time datetime="10-07-2016" class="gkEventDateStart">10 July 2014</time>

Currently it is designed this way. I'll ask our devteam if they are planning on modifying the way the date is being handled.

Yeah, please do - it would be great if the event would get marked at the calendar as to when it will happen. Otherwise the tool is not useful very much - it only shows when did we ANNOUNCE event, nothing more....

Sadly - there is no method to do that any other way than now
. Items like k2 article / standard article must work as they do now, and its just because Joomla stores information in one serialized entry - so creating any request would generate a lot of server load
.

Other words, there's no such a thing as PLANNING calendar in K2 tools, only historical one for events that did already take place... (((

Yes - even more - not historical events but jus publish date of items - that is the exact correlation.

Hi,
Since the Event handling is not functional in this template can you please help me how to include a Google calendar into a page which aesthetically mathing with the template's design?
We need to be able to show upcoming events - with location - (always from Today's date) but I couldn't find any other solution. Or I just missed something?
Thanks,

Hey guys from Gavick!
Its very difficult to use this coding of events for standard users of joomla.
Why you dont use k2 extra fields for exaple?.. Its looking nice, but not working as well. Please, try to make this better.. can you?
thaaaanks!

Probably because of date format problem - you would need to enter date format in specific way which is usually more problematic.

I've got the same problem. Did you manage to make some changes? Still entering date format in specific way is very problematic. To be honest that solution is useless.
