iphone and ipad layout issues

In my desktop browser, the horizontal scroll bar shows up like the site is wider. I also checked the desktop version on the iphone and ipad. The layout places the full background image to the right of the website. Plus, my main menu text does not fit in one row on the iphone and ipad.
