This is just a notification, not even a warning

Please simply change the number of showing errors to none in global settings for server in joomla panel.

Out of curiosity, turning off this setting (display NONE), fixed. But I had not confronted this notification previously. What might have changed in order for this to appear?

Hi

This is showing because a new syntax for PHP codding has been used. In older versions users had to define all variables before using it. New php doesn't require it, but if such code was used anywhere else than a notification is visible. Anyway it's not an error.
