Problems with accents

I am developing my site and the main language of Brazil is Portuguese. In this language we use accents and it has been fine in the layout, since accented characters are being converted to lowercase characters, as you see in the picture below.

this is a guess.. but maybe the font used aint got support for uppercase letters with accents...
