Error in GK Modules

I am getting this error on the JS homepage and similar ones with the GK_ modules:

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in ...public_html/modules/mod_gk_js_members/mod_gk_js_members.php on line 61

I am PHP 5.3 - could this be an issue?

Ok. Please try it. PHP version is not the issue in this case.
