comment section. can I remove it

Hi. I am putting together a site but dont need the 'comment' system on the sub pages. Where is the option to hide them. i have tried to unpublish. hide everything I can find but the option to add your comment is still there. Help please. It must be somewhere obvious!!

if you;re using K2 items - it's normal that by default comments are there.
It can be also disabled in K2 settings

if you don't need K2 features - just use default joomla articles instead, less problems.
