sef not working

hi there

within our site: www.interclassicsmaastricht.nl

i am trying to get SEF URL's.

-i made a new menu (invisible items),
-my SEF plugin is enabled
-main setting sef urls'/rewrite = enabled

and now:

within invisible menu, i added item "webshop" (external url).

now.... www.interclassicsmaastricht/webshop

just leads to a 404 message

tested this with normal joomla pages within the site, same problem...

Could you check whether the same happen on default Joomla! template like Beez ?

it works for normal pages (just need to set the language for sef menu items to "all")

but, i created a new menu item, which is an external link. you cannot make aliases with external link items.

so i have this www.interclassicsmaastricht.nl/webshop
(webshop item is the external website/shop)

but this doesn't work. or do i need to create these kind of forwards another way?

Could you provide me an answer to my first question? Did you check this issue on Beez template? I suspect that this may be mod_rewrite issue rather than Joomla! or template problem.
