Register new user

Hi,

I've just realised that there is no area of this theme for a user to register.

How do I enable this field so my users can register with us? - possibly to get access to certain areas of the website etc..

Hi. there are few possibilities.
1. You can add Register link in your menu.
2. Publish login module (somewhere) in available module position.
3. Create a nice banner with information that if you want to have access to all content »Register«.
and link it to registration link from joomla component.

p.s.
This template allows you to add module inside menu, so you can add there login module which also should include register link.

I created a 'Register' link in the top menu. it works fine. However, when someone has registered and they are logged in, it does not disappear like it should.

How can I get over this?

Because menu items never disappear just like that, this is not Joomla.
But you can add Login widget on sidebar, hmm
