Two questions about NPS

In the demo there is an example of NPS where there is only one photo the widget -- the "Top Stories" widget in the inset. How do you make NPS show only one photo (below heading and above article list) for a widget?

Also, how are the "li" arrows applied to the article lists in NPS (demo examples include: Top Store, iReports, Last Week)?
