A couple customization topics

I'd like to change the menu from a white background to black with white text and have the text turn gray when hovered over (See screenshot 1 and screenshot 2. I want screenshot 1 to match screenshot 2).

Also, how could I remove the borders for all the tables (the light gray lines separating the modules)?
