I want to put Language switcher at the position of 'Updates'

I installed this template in English, then I went to the extension manager and added french language cos I want the website to switch between two languages, I enabled the plugin system-language, I created a new module language switcher. My problem is that I choose the position 'updates' as the position but nothing is showing. Can some one help PLEASEEEEEEEE!

Are you sure that you have properly published a module on the mentioned module position and you have assigned it to all menu items?

I found an issue - the updates are is not a module position so I've published the language switcher on the "highlights" module position. Unfortunately there is no languages on the list - please review your multilanguage settings or consult it on official joomla support forum - it must be a configuration issue, the module structure is displayed but as empty list so it looks like an unexisting module.
