K2 templates for speakers category etc

I'm looking at the instructions here for setting up Speakers items / category in K2:

It says "These templates can be enabled in the K2 category configuration." However, I am unable to find a way to do this. I've tried editing the K2 category, and only the "default" template appears. How can I add your templates?

Hello,

Are you looking in the category editor or inside the menu item editor? You should set it under the category editor. Please also check if the html/com_k2/templates directory contains these templates.

I have the same issue (or I think I have)

Using the category editor.
Category item layout select a template dropdown give only the "use default" choice.
Files are in place ../html/com_k2/templates directory.

and nothing is showing
