The frontend only shows 404 pages after updating to J! 3.7.1

Greetings
We are in the process of updating our websites to Joomla 3.7.1 but one of them, build with News 2, give us an error after updating to the latest version. The backend, articles, components and menus work with no problems but when we visit the frontpage, it only displays an 404 error in all of the pages. The error.log doesn't report any issues at all.
We had to downgrade the site to 3.6.5 to fix the problem.
The template version is 3.21.2.

I will need to see the issue live. Can You maybe prepare a copy of the site which could be updated so I'll be able to run some tests and figure out what is going on?
