mainbody not shown on frontpage

I don't want to show the mainbody on the frontpage. How can I do this?

Thank you. I did so like described in the tutorial. But it is not working. The Menu has already a class there. Is this a problem to add two css classes to the same menu item?

Unfortunately it is not working. I have tried the following:

I created the menu item 101 with both classes, separated with a comma - not working
I created the menu item 101 twice with the class noMainbody and lightbg - not working

Please advice what to do. Thank you.

You need to set only one set, and name suffixes separating them with ",". Now You have 2 sets for one page (id=101).

I did like you said, but it is not working anyways.

Ok, I see You have added lightbg suffix class to page You have linked to.
So now with use of override css You can:

Code: Select all

body.lightbg #gkPageContent {display: none;}


get rid of mainbody for that page.

Remember to enable "CSS override" in template settings - advanced section.

It is working now.

Hi!

Now I have another problem with the mainbody. I created a multilanguage site. When I click on the English button, the mainbody is shown.

I already inserted the Menu IDs 651 and 716 and gave them the class noMainbody. You can see this with firebug that it was working. I also inserted the code (like in the description in your first posts) in the override.css. The mainbody is still there. When I click on the flag then the mainbody does not go over the whole page. When I click on Home on the english site then the mainbody goes over the whole page.

With multilanguage some elements have different ID's, add this to override.css:

body.noMainbody #gkPageContent {display: none;}

You have created custom body class, but I don't see override.css in your code - have you enabled it in template settings?

Also your custom class in override.css (that is not enabled) is .noMainbody and home page suffix is .lightbg - they have to be same.
