Hi,
I'm manual translating the php files to italian for my website, i found the search.php and the searchform.php to manual editing the search button and other stuff, but when i try to search something, and it opens me the page of the results , i cannot find in which php are all the stuff, like the read more , the "search results for" etc.
Can you help me?
Thank you very much

Wouldn't it be easier to use poedit and use WP build in translation mechanism?

how can i do that?
and anyway i think it's better to do it manually so my website won't become slow.
Can you tell me where the php files are??

First of all I would suggest to change WP language. To do that go to:
wordpress.org
and select link that goes to italian version (it.wordpress.com I suppose).
Then You will find information about changing WP language (You need to download few files, place them in correct dirrectory and edit wp-config.php at the end).
If that will not help we can try to help You with finding texts in files, but that solution can take forever.
I would strongly suggest to use translation service, as it will not make site go slower (its WP build in system). You can read about the method in this thread:
