Are you sure that reCaptcha is enabled in both places so in user and global Joomla! settings? Please check your configuration with this article » How to use reCaptcha ? – GavickPro Documentation

The plugin is enabled and keys added... Just a blank space and when I look at the source an empty div: <div id="dynamic_recaptcha_1"></div>

But did you enabled captcha in USER settings also?

And in global Joomla! settings the captcha is also enabled, could you share the screenshot of this settings also?
