Adobe Creative Cloud Available At Last!

According to today’s announcement, this online service is now available. Services include a collection of applications from Creative Suite 6 – on sale beginning Monday; applications for the tablet; additional Internet software and services; and, Muse and Edge Preview.

Users of the Creative Cloud service may download and install all of the CS6 suite applications on up to two computers running either Windows or OS X. Users can benefit from an application run on a tablet from the series of Adobe Touch Apps. Proto and Collage are now available for the iPad, Adobe Edge is designed to create animations in HTML5; Muse is used to quickly create Web applications; and, TypeKit allows the use of hundreds of fonts on Web-designed pages.

The service includes 20 GB of storage space in the cloud, a tool to synchronize files (Cloud Connection), the option to publish Web sites and applications (Business Catalyst), and the collection of visitor statistics.

Future plans include adding Lightroom 4 to the Creative Cloud offering. Adobe is also working to build a strong community within the Creative Cloud, where it will eventually be possible to share materials for use in projects using Adobe, as well as educational materials.

Pricing for a subscription to access CS6 and the Creative Cloud service for an entire year has been set at $49.99 per month. Owners of older packages can leverage a special price – Creative Cloud may have a monthly price tag of $29.99 per month.
